Eastern Cape Province– a Good place to start?

We’ve all yearned for nights under the African sky looking back at days of wild adventure hunting Buffalo and Elephant across the endless Savannah and through jungles that even Tarzan would blanch at, but while our old favourite Hunting books paint a romantic image of life as a Professional Hunter in ‘old’ Africa, when it actually comes down to it, how many people really and honestly embrace the thought of ‘roughing it’ in an unfamiliar, hostile wilderness in a environment filled with all manner of biting bastards?

It’s not for everyone....... but I know somewhere that is!

We all have our personal reasons for hunting and it’s nobody’s business but yours what they are. Some love the stalk, some like to pull the trigger and some are adding to their personal collections. We have clients who prefer to experience different locations each year, others who prefer the familiarity of a known quantity and you know what, we have an increasing number of clients who are just looking for an adventure, and let’s not kid ourselves here, the majority of people reading this will be living their life to an increasingly challenged budget, such is the state of the global economy.

In order to satisfy all these requirements you need a location and Outfitter to deliver on all these, and that man is Andrew Renton.

Over the years we have spoken to a great many trophy hunters and one name kept occurring and with the most enthusiastic reports and praise for an Outfitter who provided an authentic African experience combined with great fair chase walk and stalk hunting for amazing Trophy and Management species. Smith and Wesson have hunted with him, many members of the St Huberts Club have hunted with him and literally dozens of UK Hunters have been there too, the majority of whom return!

Good hunting is complimented by safe, comfortable accommodation suitable for wives and family members who may not exactly share your dream of joining the ranks of ‘Karamojo’ Bell, ‘Pondoro’ Taylor and F. C. Selous! Our Outfitters, Andrew (Drew) Renton and his charming Wife Sharyn offer a warm welcome to solo hunters families and groups offering comfortable, accommodation which is the perfect environment for sun-downers!

Hunting is conducted in the spirit of fair chase over some challenging terrain where both trophy and management animals are available. In fact, the Eastern Cape Province has more species than anywhere else we visit due to the diversity of landscape flora and fauna. As such, if you were looking to take a selection of easily identifiable trophies during one visit or just want to get plenty of ‘Trigger Time’ taking cull animals then the Eastern Cape Province could well be the place for you, and it helps that the Renton’s have many satisfied British clients that you can to talk with before you book although the five new World Record Trophies taken this year should tell their own story too!
